Apr 10 - Mile 15 - Meet James Worthington - Driving up 321 from Charlotte to Boone, NC to pick up our daughter Caroline from Appalachian University, I drove past James and quickly made a u-turn as his purpose today was so obvious to me. In a short conversation, I learned that by the time I met him he had already walked from Lenior to Hickory... in the neighborhood of 15 miles. Wow! He had reached the point in his journey where he could only walk 10 or 15 yards before needing to pause for a breath. What a powerful statement to those that drove by (worth a look at in X3 Large to appreciate the bottom right picture).<br />
