• Feb 16 - Self Portrait - I am really trying to get into the habit of posting a pic everyday. Sorry that this one is just me. I will try to find something more interesting for tomorrow.
• Feb 17 - My neighbor's puppy peeps through the deck rails just to say hello.
• Feb 18 - Be someone I can look up to.
• Feb 19 - "Round 1" - my first time in the gym with my new wide angle 2.8 lens. Much easier to fit both boxers in the picture without the ropes getting in the way. Taken at a focal length of 22mm. In real life, these guys are fast and in low light. I am pleased with the new lens, but still learning.
• Feb 22 - This wrestler is hot!
• Feb 24 - "Progress" - worth a look in X2Large
• Feb 21 - "Common cents" - My wife so enjoyed the colors of yesterday's pic, I thought i would try to do something that could be potentially framed. Not quite the tones in yesterday's penny but I tried. Worth framing? What do you think? Is there anything I could do differently?

If you are interested, I put this photo im my free downloadable Desktop Backgrounds gallery. Go there now! . It makes a decent background.
• Feb 20 - Does this make any cents? - Playing around with a macro lens that I never use and getting ready to sell.
• Feb 23 - "Down to my last penny" - I say this because I can promise you that I am done with my penny project. My wife, Brenda, went through the proverbial penny jar and found the older ones in the batch. Also, thanks to the wonderful guidance of some talented photographers in the Daily Photo Community, I made some changes to the tones and composition. So this is it. Like it or not, I am down to my last penny!

• Feb 25 - Self Portrait - Playing with grid snoot and black and white. Trying to create dramatic lighting. I may have to come back to this when I have more time.
• Feb 26 - "No honey, I didn't say I was going to stop by the bar with Jim, I said I am going to go spar at the gym".
• Feb 26 - "I'm not cocky, I am just better than you". - That is actually what it says on the boy's red t-shirt. So I'm posting two pics in one day, what's up with that? Sorry, but I like this one better. I have been post-processing pictures from my visit to the gym yesterday off and on all day and this was one of the last ones in the pile. I think it tells a better story than my first post. I didn't delete my first post of the day, because I already had some nice comments. I will try not to make a habit of doing more than one. One a day is a usually a gracious plenty to accomplish.
• Feb 27 - "Good Form" - Thai Boxer improves his form.
• Feb 28 - Homemade Snoot Grid - With a little black paint, $1.49 worth of bic pens, glue and an extra diffuser, I put together this rather nice looking DIY Grid Snoot for my strobe flash and it works great. I cut the pens in 1/2" sections and after cutting the front of the diffuser off, I glued them in place. Much better looking than the DIY corregated cardbord grids found on the internet and much cheaper than the $38 ones on ebay. Total cost: about $6.00. Value: Priceless! ;) The grid snoot offers a nice concentrated spotlight (I used my cardboard snoot for the last time to take this shot).
• Mar 01 - "In like a lion" - Busy day but I got my daily photo in. I have been on such a good roll here lately, I had to get something up before going to bed. Such a beautiful snow here in Charlotte, NC. We don't get snow very often and it is a surprise to get one in March.
• Mar 02 - Good morning sunshine. The advantages of getting up early to take my daughter and wife to work. It made me get out this morning during that magic hour.
• Mar 03 - Morning cup of joe, with just a splash of cream.
• April 5 - One of my favorites from Carrie's photo shoot yesterday.
Sorry that I have been gone for a while. I hurt my sholder and didn't take any pictures for over a week and also wasn't up to doing much on the computer. The good news is I am feeling better now.
• Mar 04 - "Chaos or serenity, one day at a time". - This is part of a project that I am working on. Of course, I am a believer in living "one day at a time".

This is my entry for the DSS#20 Challenge. I welcome comments there as well. Go there now..
