  • Apr 12 - Happy Easter!
  • Apr 10 - Mile 15 - Meet James Worthington - Driving up 321 from Charlotte to Boone, NC to pick up our daughter Caroline from Appalachian University, I drove past James and quickly made a u-turn as his purpose today was so obvious to me. In a short conversation, I learned that by the time I met him he had already walked from Lenior to Hickory... in the neighborhood of 15 miles. Wow! He had reached the point in his journey where he could only walk 10 or 15 yards before needing to pause for a breath. What a powerful statement to those that drove by (worth a look at in X3 Large to appreciate the bottom right picture).<br /> <br /> Happy Easter!

  • Mar 21 - "Das ist Bier!" - There's a new beer in town! Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Beer just opened its taps this week and I was fortunate enough to attend the open house. I brought home a Growler of Copper Duesseldorf-style Altbier and man, das ist bier!   • Mar 20 - "The Tower of Power" - Another photo from the photoshoot with Golden Glove Champ Quinton Rankins shot on location at the Ultimate Gym in Charlotte. I am pleased with the lighting on this one. Worth looking at in a larger format to see detail and skin tones.   • Mar 19 - "Meet Q" - I did a photo shoot with Golden Glove Champ Quinton Rankins this evening. I still have to post-process the shoot, but here is a fun one that can serve as my pic-of-the-day. Shot on location at the Ultimate Gym in Charlotte.

  • Mar 14 - posted at 11:45pm. Boy, that was close. It has been a busy day and I almost didn't get a pic of the day up. Grabbed this one a moment ago off a basket in the family room and thought the lock was kind of unique. Looked at that basket a hundred times and never really noticed the latch until tonight. Now I am off to bed!
  • Mar 13 - "One of my angels" - My only grandchild, Madison. She is certainly one of the angels in my life and she truly touches my soul.<br /> <br /> I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free. ~Michelangelo
  • Mar 12 - The "eyes" have it - Spent the evening with my granddaughter, Madison who is three years old. Don't get to see her very often and eat her up when she is here.
  • Mar 11 - Beware of DOG. Now that the golden gloves are behind me, I want to get back to simple artistic stuff in the gym (without excessive pp). This is my first night back to the gym.
  • March 10 - "Out of my hands..." - I took the actual photo this past weekend, but with the help of a few friends, here is the finished product. <font color="red"> Additional information after reading Dakota's comment:</font> I didn't nail the quote. <font color="red"> The quote was created for this picture by the owner of the Boxing Gym. </font> He nailed the picture with an ingenious quote, I thought. I should have said that eailer since it is most often the other way around - pictures usually compliment existing quotes.
